J. A. Crum Oct. 15, 1898; Oregonian, p 6 J. A. Crum, an old resident of Olex and a man well known throughout Gilliam county, died at his home, on Rock creek, October 8, of typhoid fever. The deceased was aged about 55 years, and had been a resident of Gilliam county for 15 years. He was married in Grand Ronde valley about 25 years ago to Miss Sarah Rinehart, a sister of G. W. Rinehart, of Condon. This is the fourth death recorded in Mr. Crum's family within the last month, three of his grown sons having died of typhoid.
