Rachael Cunningham March 5, 1911; Oregonian, p 10 (photo) "Oregon Pioneer Woman, '46, Passes Away at Condon" Mrs. P. T. Cunningham, who was born in Cedar County, Iowa, June 3, 1837, died at Condon, Or., February 20. In 1846 she crossed the plains to Oregon and settled in Lane County. She was married to James H. butler May 8, 1859, and moved to Polk County. She went to Gilliam County in 1871. Mr. Butler died January 21, 1881, and November 29, 1882, Mrs. Butler married P. T. Cunningham. Funeral services were held in Olex, where the pioneer woman resided since 1871. Mrs. Cunningham is survived by her husband, three sons and two daughters. The children are William Butler, of Montana; John butler, of Olex; Dr. B. F. Butler, of Dallas; Mrs. John Turner, of Portland, and Mrs. W. H. Colwell, Portland. Ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
