A. R. Cady Nov. 21, 1913; Oregonian, p 7 "Durkee Pioneer Passes" Baker, Or., Nov. 20 A. R. Cady, a pioneer rancher of Durkee, died suddenly at his home here, after passing a pleasant evening with is son, U. G. Cady. Mr. Cady, who was 75 years old, chatted with his family before retiring and seemed to be in his usual health, but when his granddaughter went to call him in the morning he failed to answer. On entering the room it was thought he was asleep, but it was found that he had died quietly in the night. Heart disease was the cause of death. Mr. Cady was one of the first ranchers to come to the Mormon Basin country.
