P. G. Chrisman May 3, 1911; Oregonian, p 6 "Oregon Pioneer is Dead" Baker, Or., May 2 P. G. Chrisman, an Oregon pioneer died at his home, at 1729 Valley avenue, yesterday, following an illness of pneumonia, of only a few days. He was 70 years of age and had been a resident of this city for the past six years. He was born in Missouri and crossed the plains when a lad of 13 years. He settled in Lane County, and was united in marriage to Miss Nancy Porter in 1863. Shortly after his marriage, Mr. Chrisman removed to Lake County, where he engaged in the stock business, and was one of the founders and first presidents of the first bank ever established in Lake County. Besides his widow, he is survived by four brothers, C. F., N. P. and S. W. Chrisman, of Eugene; one daughter, Mrs. Frank L. Moore, of this city, and one son, F. M. Chrisman, of Silver Lake, Lake County. The funeral will be held this afternoon from the family residence.
