Jacob Henry Ensminger Jan. 6, 1928; Oregonian, p 11 Baker, Or., Jan. 5 Jacob Henry Ensminger, since 1863 a resident of Baker county, died at his home in Haines early this morning. He suffered a stroke of paralysis several days ago. Mr. Ensminger was born March 19, 1847, in Hancock county, Illinois. He came as a boy to Baker county by wagon train across the plains in 1863 and had lived here ever since. In 1871 he was married to Johanna Leonning. He is survived by his widow and ten children, who are: Mrs. Joseph Henner, Haines; George E. Ensminger, Haines; Mrs. N. E. Dodd, Haines; Herbert Ensminger, Haines; Mrs. A. A. Fidler, Payette; Mrs. Fred Wilson, Portland; Mrs. Chester Johnson, Vancouver, Wash.; Frank Ensminger, La Grande; Mrs. Neal Crawford, La Grande; Mrs. A. W. Wall, La Grande. The funeral will be held Saturday.
