   William H. Mulkey of Richland, who died this week, was an Oregon pioneer of 1847. Mr. Mulkey died suddenly following a hearty dinner. He was born August 6, 1845, in Jackson county, Missouri. At the age of two years he crossed the plains with his parents, Thomas and Sarah Mulkey, the family coming to Oregon. William H. Mulkey married Miss Lily Dale May 1, 1889, in Baker. One son and two daughters were born. Mr. Mulkey is survived by his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Winnie Purdy; a brother, Hamilton Mulkey of Albany, and a half brother, Robert Lansfield of Amity. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church at Richland with interment in Eagle Valley cemetery.
