Parker, who died at the Parker farm, eight miles northwest of this city on October 3, Baker County loses one of its oldest and most respected pioneers. Mr. Parker was born at Woodstock, Canada, in 1842. He crossed the plains to Nevada and California in 1859 and came to Oregon in 1862, settling in this county. Mr. Parker is survived by his widow and six children, as follows: William Parker, Mrs. Mary Wussler, Mrs. Rose Perkins, of Baker County; Mrs. Dora Meldrum, of Oregon City, and Harold Parker, of Parker, Wyo.
