   Mrs. Manda L. Schafer, a pioneer of 1850 in Oregon, died here today after a brief illness.  She was 66 years old.  She crossed the plains in an ox-team to Oregon when she was a child 3 years old, her parents locating in Salem.
   She came to Baker in 1880 and lived here since.  Mr. Schafer, three daughters, a son and a brother, J. Taylor, of Salem, survive.
