Lafayette Terrill June 20, 1912; Oregonian, p 6 (photo) "Pioneer of 1860 Dies at Huntington, Aged 82, Buried By Masons" Huntington, Or., June 19 Lafayette Terrill, a pioneer of 1860, who died at his home here Sunday, June 16, was buried today by members of Weiser and Ontario Masonic lodges. Mr. Terrill was born at Stewardstown, N. H., May 18, 1830, coming to California by the Nicaragua route in 1860. He arrived in Oregon in 1876 and located the Baldwin Sheep & Land company stock ranch in Crook County, near Prineville. He moved to Huntington in 1891, engaging in the livery business. Mr. Terrill was made a Mason 50 years ago by Keystone Lodge in Copperopolis, Cal., taking the Royal Arch degree later at Oakland, Cal. For 35 years he had been a member of Wasco Lodge at The Dalles. He leaves a widow and several children. Funeral services were held at the Congregational Church.
