   Funeral services for Mrs. Lucinda Jane Bowers, 76, were held this afternoon.  Mrs. Bowers died at her home in Philomath.  She was born October 5, 1853, in Andrew county, Missouri.  The following year her family crossed the plains and settled in Lane county near Eugene.  She was married 62 years ago to Solomon Bowers, an Oregon pioneer, who died one year ago.
   Surviving are four sons:  J. C. Bowers, Wenatchee, Wash.; G. B. Bowers, Renton, Wash.; B. F. Bowers, Bandon, and J. Bowers, Corvallis.  Six daughters surviving are Mrs. Sophronia Ogle, Camas, Wash.; Mrs. Sadie Landres, Salem; Mrs. Vina Campbell, Corvallis; Mrs. May Chaney, Portland; Mrs. Rose Mann, Eugene, and Mrs. Kate Peterson, Philomath.
