Drury Hodges March 14, 1911; Oregonian, p 6 "Benton Pioneer 1847 Dies" Albany, Or., March 13 Drury Hodges, Oregon pioneer of 1847 and resident of Benton County for 63 years, died today at his home six miles west of Albany, aged 85 years. Born in Indiana in 1825, he crossed the plains when 22 years old and settled in Benton County, where he had since resided. He was one of the first settlers in this part of the state. Mr. Hodges was a member of the Baptist Church and the Masonic fraternity. He is survived by eight children: Mrs. Kate Vanderpool, Mrs. M. Huey, M. D. Hodges, R. D Hodges and C. P. Hodges, of Benton County; Mrs. George Davis and Mrs. Clarence Reed, of Burton, Wash., and Dr. A. J. Hodges, of Albany.
