   S. W. Jackson, an old-time pioneer of Oregon and Benton County, died Friday at the Occidental Hotel, where he had made his home for some months.  The funeral took place Sunday afternoon at the Locke Cemetery.  Deceased was 73 years old.  He was born June 14, 1832, near St. Louis, on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River.  In 1852 he immigrated to Oregon by ox team, and settled on a homestead near McCoy.
