   William H. Morgan, a resident of Benton county for eight years, died today at the family home at Philomath following a brief illness.  Mr. Morgan, who was 71 years of age, came to Oregon 40 years ago, and prior to locating at Philomath resided near Marshfield.  He is  survived by his widow and seven children, Mrs. Idaho Magee of Lakeside, Or.; A. I. Morgan, Berkeley, Cal.; N. V. Morgan, Idaho; Mrs. Agnes Congdon, Horton, Or.; Mrs. Lucia Pimm, Portland; Mrs. Gertrude Danielson, Tillamook, and W. C. Morgan, Marshfield.  The funeral will be held from the United Brethren church in Philomath Monday.  Interment will be in Newton cemetery.

   W. H. Morgan, for eight years a resident of Philomath, died Friday.  Advanced age and neuralgia of the heart are believed to be the cause of his death.  Mr. Morgan had been prominent in town affairs for several years.  He was born in Des Moines county, Iowa, in 1851, and was married to Mary Wolfe in 1876.  He is survived by his widow and seven children.
