   Mrs. Susan Rickard, wife of John Rickard, passed away this morning at the family residence, 12 miles south of Corvallis, on the state highway.
   Mrs. Rickard was born in Indiana July 4, 1830, came to Oregon about 60 years ago and, with her husband, settled on what has since been their home.  Her husband survives her at 90 years of age.
   The Rickards were real pioneers and have done their share in making the county.  A large number of relatives and friends are expected to attend the services, which will be held at the McFarland Church Wednesday morning September 13, at 10 o'clock.
