Amanda Woodcock Dec. 20, 1925; Oregonian, p 40 Corvallis, Or., Dec. 19 Mrs. Amanda Woodcock died here today at the age of 94. She was the mother of M. S. Woodcock, pioneer banker and college regent, who died last summer. Mrs. Woodcock was born in Tompkins county, N. Y., in 1831, and removed with her family to Wisconsin, where she was married to Martin Woodcock. In 1847 they crossed the plains with an ox team and four years later they came to Benton county. Mr. Woodcock engaged in the mercantile business in Monroe. Later they moved to Salem where Mr. Woodcock died in 1884. After that Mrs. Woodcock spent most of the time in Corvallis with her son, M. S. Woodcock, and her daughter, Mrs. W. H. Savage, who is now the sole survivor of the family with the exception of the grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Corvallis Monday and the body will be taken to Salem.
