Providence Cemetery Linn County, Oregon Joab Powell, Jr., was the son of the Rev. Joab Powell, Sr. and Anna Beeler; he married Rebecca Jane Prine on 9 Dec., 1858. Joab Jr. was born 18 April, 1834, in Jackson County, Missouri, and died 24 October, 1872 in Linn County, Oregon. Rebecca J. Prine was possibly the daughter of William Martin Prine, Sr., and wife Mary P. Dealy. Rebecca was probably born about 1839 in Missouri, and died March 8, 1872 in Linn County. Joab and Rebecca appear in the 1860 Linn County census with child Mary and Joab Jr.'s brother Daniel. Louis M. Powell appears on the 1870 Linn County census with his parents, Joab and Rebecca Powell. Addie Mellvina Powell, 1868-1872 Ada (?) Powell appears on the 1870 Linn County census with her parents, Joab and Rebecca Powell. Daughter Mary Ann Powell was born 20 November, 1859 in Linn County, Oregon, and died 4 July 1923 in Monmouth, Polk County, Oregon. Mary married in Linn County, on 18 Feb. 1881, James Fletcher Crabtree. James was the son of Dela Fletcher Crabtree and his wife, Phoebe Flanary Crabtree. Dela was born 27 March 1815 in Lee County, VA, and he died 2 March 1901 in Linn County. Dela and Phoebe were married 13 October 1836 in Lee County, VA. Dela Crabtree was the son of Job Crabtree and Rebecca Smyth, and Phoebe Flanary was the daughter of James Flanary and Rachel H. Benham. Mary Ann Powell also married Christopher Columbus Lee; there were no children from this marriage. James Fletcher Crabtree and wife Mary Ann Powell had the following children:
