   The funeral of Francis Edgar Dye, aged 54 years, who died Wednesday at the home of his sister, Mrs. M. M. Franklin, near this place, was held here this afternoon.  Mr. Dye was born in Pennsylvania in 1854 and was married in Kansas in 1884 to Miss Eleanor Lyon, who died there in 1890.  Three children were born to them, Katie, now Mrs. Swales, of Oregon City; George L. and Maurice E. Dye.  Shortly after the death of his wife Mr. Dye moved to this place and settled on a farm, where he has since resided.
