Frank T. Payne March 15, 1908; Oregonian, Sec. 3, p 7 "Frank T. Payne Dead" Frank T. Payne, a business man of East Portland in pioneer days, died yesterday at his home at Scappoose. Mr. Payne was 56 years of age. In the early days of East Portland he conducted a foundry and machine shop on East Oak and Third streets. He was also engineer in charge of the fire engine company. About 12 years ago he moved to his farm at Scappoose, which proved to be very rich in iron ore. He is survived by his widow. L. W. Payne, of Portland, is a son, who left last night for his father's home. The body will be brought to Portland for interment.
