Thomas S. Hamilton Dec. 10, 1929; Oregonian, p 12 Bend, Or., Dec. 9 Thomas S. Hamilton, 79, early-day resident of central Oregon, died at his home near Ashwood yesterday afternoon. Burial will be in Prineville tomorrow, with the Masonic lodge in charge. Mr. Hamilton, born in Clay county, Missouri, March 10, 1850, crossed the plains with his parents in an immigrant train in 1853, and lived in Lane county 16 miles south of Eugene for several years. In January, 1889, Mr. Hamilton was married to Lorenda Crooks, daughter of an Oregon pioneer. He is survived by his widow and two daughters, Mrs. Beth McDonald and Mrs. Josephine Johnson. A step-daughter, Mrs. Roy Darby, also survives. Mr. Hamilton was president of the Shaniko bank and a stockholder of the First National bank of The Dalles.
