   Funeral services for Joseph P. Hoffman, 85-year-old civil war veteran who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. R. Parrish, will be held here Saturday, with the American Legion, United Spanish-American War Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars in charge.
   Death of Mr. Hoffman leaves only one civil war veteran, A. F. Morrison, in Bend.
   Born in Lexington, O., inn 1849 Mr. Hoffman enlisted in the Michigan cavalry when a mere boy.
