"Old-time Resident of John Day valley Dies at Prairie City"
Prairie City, Or., Aug. 28

   Flemming Deardorff, for nearly 50 years a resident of the John Day Valley, died last Monday morning at the home of E. P. Laurance in Prairie.  The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon under the auspices of Mountain View Lodge, No. 33, I.O.O.F., being conducted by Past Grand William Pfall, Sr.
