Ann (Campbell) Roe April 10, 1911; Oregonian, p 15 "Widow of Pioneer Minister Dies" Hood River, Or., April 9 Mrs. Ann Campbell Roe, who crossed the plains in an oxteam with her parents, died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. E. Woodson, of Heppner, and the body was buried here at the K. of P. Cemetery yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Campbell was born in Rock Island, Ill., February 3, 1836. She was married July 4, 1856, to George C. Roe, a Methodist minister, whose district comprised all of Eastern Oregon. During his long absences Mrs. Roe was left alone with her children. The husband died in 1896, and since that time Mrs. Roe has made her home with her children in Morrow County. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Woodson, and two sons, one of whom is a resident of St. Johns, Or. The other is at Buenos Ayres, Argentina.
