Ogle-Wilson Wedding --- Surprises Friends

A group of friends of Dr. and Mrs. C. L. Ogle of Grants Pass were guests at a party Saturday night, which, after they were assembled, became a wedding.  After the last guest had arrived at the Ogle home, strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march were heard, and Miss Helen Ogle, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William Ogle of San Francisco, who has been visiting here a week at the Ogle home, entered the large reception room on the arm of her cousin, Dr. C. L. Ogle.  Homer Lee Wilson, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Wilson of Grants Pass, joined Miss Ogle at an improvised altar in front of the fireplace, which was banked with white roses and the wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. C. C. Rarick.

The bride was attired in a lovely heavy white silk crepe beaded gown and carried a shower bouquet of gardenias, pink rosebuds and ferns.  Harry Rosenberg of Medford acted as best man, and Mrs. Ogle, as matron of honor, was the bride's only attendant.  Mrs. Ogle also wore a white gown and carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds.  Dr. Ogle gave the bride away in marriage.  The beautiful Ogle home was most attractively decorated for the occasion, with the room in which the marriage ceremony was performed, filled with flowers and pastel shades.  The wedding was followed by a buffet supper.

During the supper Mr. and Mrs. Wilson slipped away from their friends and left on a wedding tour to San Francisco and British Columbia.  They will return to Grants Pass to make their home.  Mr. Wilson is junior partner in the Grants Pass Grocery company.  The guest list was as follows:  Mr. and Mrs. Niel R. Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Milbank, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Prestel, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Trumbly, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Wilson, Sr., Mrs. Floy Williams of Portland, Miss Maria Wilson, Miss Dorothy Lundburg, Mrs. Gladys McAdam, Mrs. Roy Rummery of Portland, Charles Graves, M. H. Muirhead, of Medford, Miss McVay of Medford, and the host and hostess, Dr. and Mrs. C. L. Ogle.
