George W. Woodworth

   George W. Woodworth, a pioneer of 1850, died February 19 at his home at Merlin, Or. Mr. Woodworth was born in Missouri in 1845 and at the age of five years crossed the plains to Oregon with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank N. Woodworth. The family settled at Howell Prairie in Marion County. He is survived by three brothers and four sisters, as follows: Mrs. Mary C. Settlemier, of Woodburn; Mrs. Martha M. Staiger, of Portland; Mrs. S. V. Wade, of Tacoma; Mrs. H. E. Jolly, of Portland; V. M. Woodworth, of Merlin; William W. Woodworth, of Aberdeen, and Joseph M. Woodworth of Portland.
