   Mrs. Susan Woody, nee Lynn, died here Sunday night, aged 83.  Mrs. Woody was born in Washington county, Ohio, in 1816.  She crossed the plains with her husband, James Woody, in 1852, and lived in Josephine county for 40 years.  She cooked in the first boarding-house built in Chicago.  She drew a pension on account of her husband's services in the war of 1812, and there are said to be only two other widows who draw like pensions.  Her husband died 10 years ago, at the age of 96.
