Martin R. Frain March 23, 1927; Oregonian, p 22 "Klamath Pioneer Dies" Klamath Falls, Or., March 22 The Klamath country lost one of its earliest pioneers when Martin R. Frain, 94, died today at the home of his son, W. L. Frain of Topsy, Or. Mr. Frain was declared to have been one of the founders of Klamath Falls, known as Linkville in the early days. It was believed that Mr. Frain came into this country in 1858. He was born in Detroit, Mich., and came west in 1850, lured by the California gold rush.
