Joseph Hendricks Feb. 8, 1910; Oregonian, p 1 "Broken Leg is Fatal" Klamath Falls, Or., Feb. 7 Joseph Hendricks, a pioneer of 1852, who had lived in Klamath County for about 30 years, died alone in his cabin some time between Thursday and Saturday, as the result of a broken leg, fractured near the thigh, probably by a fall at his cabin door, though no evidence is found of the manner of the accident. Hendricks was 79 years old and had lived at the place where he died about three years keeping some horses and occupying himself with small farming operations. Death evidently resulted about six hours after the injury and the body was not found until Sunday, probably two days after life became extinct. The cabin is situated about seven miles from this city.
