   Laura A. Bonney, wife of James H. Strong, died at Flora, Wallowa county, last Monday. She was born near Peoria, Ill., January 8, 1832, and crossed the plains with her parents in 1843, locating in Marion county, where she married Mr. Strong in 1860. In 1876 the family moved to Waitsburg, Wash., and lived there until five years ago, then removing to Flora. She left a husband and three daughters, Mrs. R. H. Ormsbee, of Waitsburg, Wash.; Mrs. E. W. Alconr, of Huntsville, Wash.; Mrs. James Haynes, of Flora. Mrs. Strong had been a consistent member of the Christian church for more than 50 years.
